Church of Carmelo
This small church stands between normal houses in Corso Vittorio Emanuele. Originally born as oratory of the Confraternity established in 1831, it was open to the devoted on the 4th of August 1849. following the latest restoration by the Avellone family it is now well kept and often open to the public for religious functions. it is dedicated to the Madonna del Carmelo of which a painting stood above the main altar of the 1700, it was later replaced by a statue donated according to the tradition by a devoted from Caltavuturo and from there hand carried during the night. The painting now stands in the sacristy where has its office the Madonna del Carmelo confraternity. The church hosts the Novena Chants during the Corpus Dominio. Of particular interest are the church’s bells.
