Church of Calvario
Characterised by its position on a hill at the village entrance, it stands before a long and large stairway of 33 steps symbolising the age of Christ, and amongst trees surrounding a cobbled courtyard.The old 1800s church called Eremo del Calvario is of simple shape and decorations. It shelters a beautiful sarcophagus in which the remarkably expressive statue of Jesus rests. In the two side altars the wooden statues of the Madonna Addolorata andS. M. Maddalena stand. It is still used for the representation of the Passion and the Holy Friday procession.
